so I am enjoying my newest FP6, but I am faced with a few issues, which I am a bit werided out by after a Samsung. One of the issues I am facing with is, that when my Jabra Evolve 2 65 (latest firmware is used, updated today) is connected through Bluetooth, the phone refuses making the ringtone to be played, nor does it play it through the headset either. It only vibrates. I looked through the whole phone, but I couldn’t find the solution to this problem.
My previous work phone which was a Samsung had no similar issues, the phone was ringing as expected even when on headset, but have to admit it was not on the latest Android version either.
What am I missing? Thank you for your help in advance.
I’m on the test channel. I think you can update to the latest beta in the updater by tapping the 3 dots & local update & select this file (it’s the latest beta): e-3.1.1-beta-a15-20250807515967-official-FP6.zip
Or connect to the test-channel in Androids developer-options.
My fairphone 6 with google android has the same problem. Connect to a headset or car and the device get undecided where it should play sounds. Sometimes bluetooth devices are shown connected even if they clearly aren’t (like my car is in the underground garage no way there is a connection). Even if switched to “play on this smartphone”, sounds do not play when moving sliders in audio loudness settings. (Sometimes they play with a delay after the ringtone slider is moved. Notification loudness does not work at all.) Sometimes even youtube videos won’t play because the device is so confused because the audio device it tries to use is not connected at all. After switching bluetooth off and on again, everything works consistently and ringtones, notifications & alarms play like expected.
So I suspect this is a firmware problem with bluetooth, not really with e/os or google-stained android.
