Well its my turn to complain about this issue and also to extremely slow support response time.
i bought mine the 15 june 2026 and it snapped arround the 10 january, will i just took it off like usual. So not even 6 month.
It took them 10 days to put me on “Pending request” and now its 1 month and still no news. Thats not acceptable to have an headband base as a “consumable” especially for what should be a durable product. The cheap xbox headphone lasted me longer than that and at some point it will be cheaper for me to by a throw away those kind of headphone than buying a base twice a year.
i’m really disappointed. My fairphone 3 lasted me 5 years and the fairbud XL not even 6 month. I guess i will have to throw it away when the warranty is reached… if they send me the replacement part one day
I bought some replacement headbands with the £50 voucher they gave out last year and one of them has snapped already. Opened a ticket for it, seems like the part I got is officially part of the 2025 refresh design (though it fits the 2023 ones perfectly). Seems like this is still an issue. At this point, they would be better offering metal ones as a replacement, or use sturdier plastic for this one part, even if it isn’t recycled.
