Headset mic not working Fairphone 2

Hello there! I’ve been using m’y FP2 for a couple days now and I’m pretty frustrated because I cannot use my headset to make calls because the mic doesn’t work. I’ve tried with an ear plug set as well and I had the same mic problem. Both devices are fairly decent and I will not ne purchasing a new one. How can I make private phone calls without sticking my FP2 to my ear? Have a good day!
