Ghost Bluetooth Connection

Hi,

I have an issue, I didn’t have in the past with my FP4. One in fifty times, whenever I disconnect my Bluetooth earbuds, my fairphone won’t output any noise through it’s speaker or with another Bluetooth device. Judging by the Bluetooth symbol, the fairphone 4 thinks it’s still connected with the earbuds but it’s actually not. Turning Bluetooth off, disconnecting and deleting the device won’t help. Only a restart of the phone solves this issue. When I connect my earbuds again, it outputs sound into the earbuds, but won’t disconnect afterwards, no matter what I do. Does someone experience the same?

I would think this is likely to be a software issue, probably OS-related. I don’t remember seeing a similar problem. Have you searched the forum thoroughly?

Which build is the phone on? To find out, go to Settings > About phone > Build number.

Have you tried connecting the phone to a different BT device?
Have you tested your earbuds with a different BT host?

Just for referenece, I think I never had this with the FP4 however know this bug from the FP5

I have the same issue on FP4 (FP4.TP2R.C.0132.20250306) besides some other problems. Contacted support in mid March. Still no answer from there.
