Getting access to the Files without the touchscreen

Hello there,
I m in the middle of a reflow “sudden death” repair operation and i got it to start up and charge at the second try.
But the touch screen is not responsive, i must have fail to contact everything well enough.
I d like to get my data back before openning it again ! As i lost the phone at the first reassembly.

Is there a way to do this with an computeur side app ? or anything else

Thanks, i will elaborate on the reflow operation later on in the main thread

You can connect a USB mouse with an adapter (sometimes called OTG adapter) to control the touchscreen.

i could connect the phone with a usb-c mouse, but wasnt able to touch the 4 digit code !
But the touch screen started to work again for whatever reason, maybe just needed time with voltage again

Great to hear. :+1:

If anyone else reads this – you might also want to try a USB keyboard.

And enter space on the keyboard as far as I remember to enter the PIN

An already connected bluetooth keyboard may be useful. Some keyboards and mice use a single USB receiver (Logitech).

But without a working display, using keyboard and mouse is kind of awkward. You don’t see, what you are doing.

It seems only the touch functionality was missing.

yes indeed, the screen was working perfectly and is nicely cleaned.
Now the touch screen is far more responsive than what i recalled before the dismounting.
I guess contact cleaning spray is a good idea after a few years

Ok, thank you for the clarification. For me a non responsive touchscreen with possible contact issues, meant it was not working at all.
