I would like to buy a FP6 for my wife.
One of the more used app is Oruxmaps. It’s a GPS for bikers, hikers etc.
Do you think this app will work 100%?
I bought in the past this app through Play store. Do you think e/os/ will recognize that I bought the app in the past via Google Pla’ystore?

Welcome to the community 
Important: Fairphones are by default provided with a stock Google-type Android, so with the stock OS you’d have no problems getting your app from the Play Store. It’s only if you choose to buy a phone running /e/OS that you need more attention.
I think for info about stability of a specific app on /e/OS you should also ask over on the Murena forum.
For info in this Fairphone forum, you can search for talk about the app.
The recognition has to be done by the Play Store and that requires use of a Google account (for the recognition). So running /e/OS, you’d want to use the Aurora Store app (which allows you to get apps from Play Store), making sure to use your Google account with Aurora, and not an anonymous connection.

I have bought the Fairphone6.
I have created a dedicated Google account to buy apps (in this case Oruxmaps) through App Lounge.
Therefore when I want to pay Oruxmaps I have got an message :
“This Google account isn’t yet associated with any device. Please access the Play Store app on your device before installing any apps.'”
How can I do?

I’ve been using Oruxmaps since 2011, including the last six years on /e/OS on my Fairphone 3. It worked like a charm.
I was using the version from the website, which was freely downloadable as an .apk.
After the (sudden) death of my Fairphone 3, I purchased a Fairphone 4, on which I setup an /e/OS, rooted, and I’m now trying to install Oruxmaps.
But it seems that the .apk direct download is not available any more, and that we’re obliged to go through some Goût-gueule account in order to purchase the app on App Lounge, which means link the device to the account, provide payment, etc. There is no way to purchase the app in a different way, say donate some $ via Paypal and then install via an .apk. Did I understand right, is that correct?
