FP6 frame replacement?

Hi, everyone.

Because it’s already bulky as it is, I’m using my FP6 without a case. I can see that the side frame has already gotten some minor dents.

I was trying to investigate how I’d need to proceed in case it cracks open at some point and how much the repair would cost, but I’m having a hard time figuring it out.

If I go to open a ticket, and say my phone is broken, I’m denied the chance to open a ticket, and the site forces me to the “repairs website”, where I am asked to select my problem, but a broken frame doesn’t seem to be part of the available issues, and I can see no “other” entry.

Hi,
asfaik the frame is not user replaceable, you would need to have it done for you at the repair centre.

I don’t see the price list for FP6 (perhaps not ready yet?), but there is one for FP5
https://support.fairphone.com/hc/en-us/articles/17750098804370-Fairphone-5-Repair-Price-list-and-FAQ-Cordon-Repair-Center

My assumption would be to add the costs of the item, the assessment, and the delivery.

Repair center is fine. But how do I get there?

I guess I can lie about the issue in the troubleshooting steps, and then write the truth in the problem description…

Perhaps you just need to wait a little bit more for an FP6 repair price list. There are (public) repair price lists at support.fairphone.com for the FP3, FP4 and FP5, so it might just show up there in a while, too.

I am tempted to say you cross this bridge when you get there  cause I do hope that when you actually need to swap the frame, the self-repair portal and online chat will be easy to navigate:)

in the meantime, you can contact the support using the general ticket option
https://support.fairphone.com/hc/en-us/requests/new (you can always choose something else).
