FP6 eOS advanced privacy not present in work profile created by shelter

I recently purchased the eOS version of a FP6, really happy with the device! Finally something google free, which actually works.

There is this “advanced privacy” app, which tracks and block all trackers on the phone. Thats great. Now I have used shelter to create a work profile, and use my work apps there. That all works, but it seems that the advanced privacy app is not active there. So I am still tracked apparently. But than by my work account (microsoft teams, outlook etc).

I did also clone the advanced privacy app, but the clone does not seem to do anything, 0 blocked it keeps telling me. Does anyone know if/how this should work ?

(By accident I found a pause button for the work profile in android, that actually freezes all work apps. In the section where you also can switch on the torch and so on. I am happy with that, since I dont understand the freeze option in shelter, it says that it can freeze all apps on the auto freeze list, but there is nowhere such list or an option to create such a list.)

Shelter is also Sandbox System to prevent that apps to use your data. so isnt it somehow already doing what the advanced privacy is doing? Did you check the e/OS forum already if this was discussed before?

Apps installed in my work profile also appear in the advanced privacy app on the main profile (when work profile is active). But it says no trackers were detected on those apps. I don’t know if that is correct or if the tracker blocking feature is not active within the work profile.

Ok, thank you. I have looked some time into this search query, I learn that this issue was also discussed in 2023 FP4, and addressed as an open issue. So far I did not read anything about it being resolved yet. So I think it is still an open issue.

yes, I get the same behaviour. I now just pause the work profile, when I am not at work. I think that will keep all apps silent and no tracking can be done.
