FP6 : cannot update to /e/OS 3.3

Hello,

I’m a happy new “FP6 with Murena” user. Yet I’m having an issue with the following: I’m being asked to upgrade from /e/OS 3.2-a15-20251022539003-official-FP6 to the following “Available update” → /e/OS 3.3, but it fails.

It is a 2GB update, and the first problem is: the download is very slow. Second problem is,: the download puases or stops few times along the way. I have to click on “resume”, or “pause” then “resume” when I notice there is no download going anymore. Only after that, the download resumes where it left. But 3rd problem, at the end, when it finally reaches 100% download, I qickly see a message that reads “Verification failed”, and that is it. My only choice is to start over, but without success so far.

I’ve tried on different wifi for the past 2 days, also on 5G network → same behavior and same result at the end as mentioned above. I’ve also thought it was my VPN (Proton) that caused this, but even when it is deactivated, I get the same result.

Can you please help ?

First suggestion:
Make sure the display stays on through the whole process. You can either do so in the display settings (but remember to reverse this after the update!), or you can use the “Caffeine” quick settings button (you need to edit your quick settings to use this button).

Second suggestion:
Alternatively, you can download the .zip file here to your FP6: Builds – Django REST framework (from the “url” line there) and use the “local update” option in your /e/OS Updater (note the three dots in the top right corner) after the download has completed.
