FP5, top module - connecting cable heat damage?

I posted yesterday about weird crashes of the camera app / the camera becoming unavailable. see here. the thing is, while checking for possible causes, I stumbled upon this - see attached picture.

the connecting cable of the top module has turned a dark blue color. it didn´t melt, but i would call this a clear sign of exposure to great heat. the metal below the cable shows signs of heat related coloring, too.

so, fellow fp5 users, is this normal / to be expected? does your top module connector look like that? also, please excuse the picture quality; it was taken with my fp4 i still keep as backup. :upside_down_face: i´m actually tempted to open a ticket because of this if it´s not “the norm”, because I believe a damaged connector / cable will have an influence on sd card and sim reliability at least!

Ok, so I bought a brand new top module, and the cable looks the same. The problems are also the same. So my top module is NOT damaged, but the point stands : is the area between the camera connector and the top module connector getting too hot, so it influences data transmission of the camera and the top module?

The top module connects SIM and micro SD card, so it´s rather important, especially if you use the micro SD card as internal memory extension.
