FP5 Sim/eSim issues

Hi everyone,
Looking at some of the posts, I’m not the only one with an issue like this, but not quite the same one.
A while back my Fairphone 5 simply started loosing connection to my physical SIM card. Like ever other day, and the issue was gone after a restart. It started becoming more frequent, so much that I had to restart the phone every half hour.
So I got an eSim and at first, that worked fine for a couple of weeks. Now for about a month,y eSim ist Not getting recognized anymore. It just says “no Sim”. I have tried reinstalling the eSim but that did not change anything. Again, if I restart the phone sometimes it works again.
The internal testing tool for eSim just says “eSim is nok”, not one of the options given in the troubleshooter.
It has been 4 weeks and still no answer from the support. I’m going on a big trip soon and am kinda running out of options here.
Any help/tips are welcome!

sorry to hear that you experience problems with you phone.

Dit you contacted your provider for seport?
if possible for you go to one of ther services shop’s.

i don’t think seport from Fairphone will be helpful enough in your case, that will take a long time and they will probably point to your provider after they told you to do the simcard Troubleshoot

your provider do have more options for testing and helping you, if there conclusion is its a problem with your phone, and something they can’t fix, contact the seller or reseller of your phone they can send it for repair.

Did you try to contact FP support via their online chat? Business hours of the chat are available on thiet homepage. Whats your provider? Any chance to test another provider at least a physical SIM? Do you have 5G enabled if yes disable. Try to run the phone some time in safe mode and see if its the same. dic:safemode

I don’t thing it’s a provider problem.
I have had this Issue with both a SIM and eSIm from two different providers. And it does work sometimes right after a restart, just cuts out after a short time. I’m certain it’s a hardware issue…

I have contacted the Support 4 weeks ago via emails and will try the online chat tomorrow. Hope that will resolve something…
