FP5 not receiving calls on phone

Hi I live in Italy & bought my FP5 online; it’s not on sale in stores. It is not receiving calls on the phone, not ringing & sending me a notification on the answering service only. A caller gets a busy signal or not available message. I had the sim checked at a TIM store & did the internal auto check. All OK.

The consensus at the TIM store is that the phone might not be “abilitato” (enabled/licensed) for use in Italy. Could this be the problem? Or other?

Please try another SIM from another provider? And this SIM must be fairly new.

I think it’s not so much a question of country as of mobile network operator, as Lidwien suggested.

I presume that you can make calls and that mobile data connection is working.

I would advise contacting official Fairphone support contactsupport to find out more.

Have you checked your mailbox settings? Maybe you’re forwarding all calls to your mailbox by mistake.

I’ll try that. Thanks. I’m noticing that the problem is not happening on all calls. Sometimes calls do go through. TIM is the national network provider with all other providers providing via TIM so could trying the SIM via another provider change the situation?

You never can tell what the outcome will be.
