I’m very persistently having the problem right now that the FP 5 doesn’t load properly. I plug it in, and then it charges with about 150mA, which shows me the app Ampere. I use the same charger as always, which otherwise charges with approx. 2.5 A. Stubborn because it doesn’t get better with restart. The whole night it didn’t charge at all. It went from 30% to 30%.
Maybe a broken cable, dust or debris in the charging port, a loose contact somewhere.
Did you try different cables and chargers?
Yes, I have tried different cables and chargers and there is no dust in the charging port. So far, I have always been able to solve the problem by restarting, with the emphasis on always. So it was definitely a software issue.
The dust in the port is sometimes hard to see, as it is pressed together firmly. Please try to clean it.
I have now carefully cleaned the USB port with alcohol. I now have 100mA charging current.
I have now made a restart. At the beginning I had 1.3 A charging current for a few seconds, then again 150mA.
I sometimes have charging issues (I’ll probably write a report to the forum sometime), that seem to be because some app/service/whatever uses a lot of power when plugged in. Does your phone get warm while (seemingly not-)charging?
I’ve had some success in rebooting the phone after plugging it in if such issues occur.
