Hi everyone, I need some help:
I have had my fp5 since March 2024. When switching to fp5 from Sony Xperia, I transferred my WhatsApp chats, media etc. to fp5. These (old) Whatsapp media are saved on my fp5 in /storage/emulated/0/WhatsApp/Media and I can access them when I connect the fp5 to my PC via USB.
I believed that my new WhatsApp media would be stored in the same folder in my fp5.
But today I realized that this is not true:
Since I have started using my fp5, the (new) WhatsApp media get stored here: storage/emulated/0/Android/media/com.whatsapp/WhatsApp/Media. And I cannot access the Android folder!!
I did not change any settings about where my WhatsApp media should be stored. I don’t backup my WhatsApp media with the daily automatic backup of WhatsApp (don’t want them to be in the Google cloud, don’t have enough storage space in the Google cloud, and I believed to store them safely on my PC by copying the WhatsApp Media folder). Now I know that I have not been saving my new WhatsApp media anywhere at all, and for more than a year!!!
Please, how can I access my Android folder to copy my WA media, and how can I change the settings where WA stores my media?

Can you access those in WA?
Thats the normal filing structure and you cant really influence this.
What does that mean? I have no issues to access this folder and transfer it to my PC however I normally transfer com.whatsapp as it includes the daily local back-ups.
