I’m experiencing this too at my car radio (build in year 2013). For some reason the connection gets lost more often or fewer sometimes. I can’t reproduce the error exactly.
Workaround for me to get less connection losses is to go to the developer options and set “Bluetooth AVRCP-Version” from “AVRCP 1.6” to “AVRCP 1.3”. It can be necessary to reboot your phone after that. With this older version you will loose some features on modern devices like showing cover art of the playing title but for me it’s okay.
Hi Eric, I’ve started to experience such micro cuts when listening to music stored in my FP5 in my car, via a bluetooth connection. I’ve tried to erase the device and reconnect, but with no notable difference. I’ll try to change the settings as explained above. I was wondering if it could be a material problem (like antenna or something that may be changed). Best. J.
Give it a try. Disable Wifi while using your BT devices. Does it help?
If so, you with your BT device seem to suffer from strong frequency interferences taking mutual influence on your devices.
You may only use 5GHz Wifi and disable 2,4GHz or if at home try out a more recent Wifi mode a/ax some kind on your router. Iirc b-mode is old and anyway troublesome with BT devices, but also (old/cheap) microwave ovens too.
Have a read here in the forum by searching for older posts about BT problems.
I’m experiencing issues with my fp6 and bluetooth. Sometimes when I put my JBL headphones in, and listen to music on Spotify the sound keep turning up by it self or it keep skipping songs after 5-10 seconds. I also had this problem on my fr4
Certainly — hundreds of wireless devices with the same frequency range cause interference. It can help to keep your phone close to your headphones, for example in a chest pocket.
I’ve had the same issue on my FP5, mainly in the car, with short random audio drops that are hard to reproduce. In my case it didn’t seem hardware related since everything works fine with wired audio, so it feels more like a Bluetooth software quirk. Resetting Bluetooth and re-pairing helped slightly, but it didn’t completely fix it. You’re definitely not the only one experiencing this.
I am having some BT issues and am wondering if that’s software issue, post update one or connection/settings thing.
I have had some minor issues before, like music stopping or my headset confused between two devices, but recently my phone connection to BT got a bit more unstable. The phone says it’s connected when it is not true and then I need to turn off/turn on BT to make it work.
I am adding that experience tentatively in this topic as it is not that similar to what’s been described above.
