FP4 + Ubuntu Touch

Fairphone 4 is one of the promoted devices of Ubuntu Touch so it should not be difficult to install it: Download the UBports installer and follow the instructions Yes it’s always possible to go back to Android OS. Just a side note: Ubuntu Touch doesn’t support relocking bootloader, so it has to be kept unlocked.

You cannot unlock the bootloader with OEM unlocking disabled and to my understanding its normal its greyed out once the bootloader is unlocked.

Well, that’s actually as expected (as your bootloader is unlocked and you’ve installed FPOS).
BUT it means that if you now lock your bootloader and something goes wrong your phone will be bricked
