No. I ordered it from Lebara (SFR network).
But I asked for a phone number porting, and my phone number was originally from Sosh (Orange).

Can you still try to take out the SIM card and reboot than. And do you use a SD card and if yes, how was it formatted as internal extension or external addition?
yes
When you insert it the very first time you are asked how to format it and I fear you selected internal when you dont know.
Has the phone ever been connected to the Orange Network?
Sorry I have to make a break to help my son with mathematics horworks :-). I will come back later.
Yes I think my phone has been connected to the Orange Network at the beginning, when I changed my operator from Sosh (Orange) to Lebara (SFR). Why does it matter ?
because there are issues reported with Quickstep on phones that are or have been connected to Orange.
And what is the solution to that ? Just taking out the SIM and put it again in the phone ?
Hello
Just to make sure we are talking about the same thing.
The SD card @yvmuell mentioned is a second card, a memory card that you have in your phone.
It is not the same as the SIM card which she asked you to take out before rebooting.
Yes I just have a SIM card, no SD card
Am I the only one to have this problem with a Fairphone 4 ?
Before you havent tried we dont know if it helps or what next steps can be tried. If it works without SIM you could try to download another launcher and see if that fixes the issue for the time being..
Yes at the moment your description hasnt been reported the same way
So far, probably yes. It hasn’t been reported even during the beta tests.
Bonjour,
J’ai effectué la mise à jour ce matin mais je ne peux plus utiliser mon téléphone.
Edit by yvmuell:
Hello,
I updated this morning, but now I can’t use my phone.
Normal home screen before unlocking.
Unable to access apps because the screen is black with the message “Quickstep keeps stopping.” I can go to the app info and I’ve cleared the cache, but nothing has changed.
I turned the phone off and restarted it, but the same thing happened.
However, I am receiving notifications from various apps.
I have exactly the same problem with my phone. The screen is blinking. I have a message “Quckstep s’arrête automatiquement” And I can’t use my phone anymore…
No, I have the same problem since I made the update this morning
So also French? What about Orange, do you have a SIM in their network, or was it once connected to an Orange network? Did you try without SIM?
It was an orange phone, yes. The only think that appear is the orange app center, that I never use before, and asked for usefull app.
And yes, also french
Well we have seen reports of issues with Quickstep also for the FP5 for phones in the Orange network and it seems to help to use another launcher, what is difficult when you cant download one from Playstore.
So again did anyone test WITHOUT the SIM card? Please do this now and confirm if it helps or not
Another way could be using adb
Edit: @michele.g @Fairphone_CM please take not of this and consider to stop roll out to Orange
