Hi,
I experience ghost touches on my fairphone 4 and have ordered a new display. When installing and removing the screen, I noticed on the phone part (not the display part) in the upper right corner that a screw was covered up with a piece of yellow tape.(see picture)
Is the tape supposed to be there (is it present in other people’s phones as well), or ahould I remove it and could that fix the ghost input?

It’s strange to see the piece of plastic there.
If you look at the page on Ifixit replacement of the screen at step 11 you will see that the screw isn’t covered.
So remove the piece and hopefully the problem is gone.
Thank you! Good idea to check it there - I watched the Fairphone YouTube replacement video, but there there were some other dissimilarities besides the tape so I didn’t know for sure. The iFixit image looks more similar to mine
