Mint means US, correct? What does Mint say to this?

Fairphone owners in the USA (FP2 FP3 FP4 FP5)

I was using my new FP5 with Verizon network in USA and it seemed to work fine. Switching to Mint Mobile to save some costs. Failed to setup their eSIM. Their tech support tells me that the FP5 is “not supported” for eSIM but will work fine with a physical SIM.
