FP3+ rear camera is 12MP not 48MP

12MPx is the correct output, please read the specs

As far as apps go you can install Gcam apps. I use Nikita but it won’t change the function of the Bayer design output. Although it may provide better outputs in other aspects. Search for Nikita etc. on this forum for examples. There are may posts about quality etc.

The original camera app I have may not be the best buy doesn’t have the problems you indicate and the topic title is a bit of ‘camera issues’ could mean anything, maybe a title edit would be useful… I use Gcam . Nikita but also have Open camera installed. Have you tried either of those. So what was the issue with lighting and flash??
