FP3 microphone problem - hardware problem/disabeling Android sound amplifier

Hey everyone,
I have the following problem and would be happy if you guys could help mešŸ™šŸ¾:
I recently bought a new bottom module. A few weeks later, I suddenly noticed my microphone didn’t work anymore. When making WhatsApp Voice Messages, recording audio files or anything else, the microphone crackles and makes noise. The only thing I can do - and this is, where it gets interestering - is making calls.
I made the mic tests (##66##) and it appears that both microphones do not work anymore.
I also put the old bottom module back in, hoping, that would solve the problem. It didn’t, even though the microphone wasn’t the problem in my old bottom module.
I also noticed the following thing: When making a WhatsApp voice message, the noises only start after a few seconds. In the beginning, there are no disturbing sounds. At first, the microphone is still silent, but after a few seconds the noises get louder and louder.
In spite of the fact that I can make calls, I think this is not only about a hardware problem. If it is a hardware problem, it has nothing to do with the microphones themselves but something with how the sound is transfered. Because otherwise, only one mic would be broke or changing the bottom module would help.
I believe that maybe there is a little hardware problem which is made even worse by software. I suppose there is some kind of microphone amplifier by Android, which makes the mics louder if it’s needed (when making calls it’s probably not needed). And for some reason the amplifier, after waiting for a few seconds, makes the microphone sound louder and louder. I’m sure the microphone would work better if the amplifier was desactivated. Maybe it would not be pefect, but better.
So now I think there are two ways to solve the problem:
The first one is to fix the hardware problem. Sending my phone to FP so they can fix it is not an option for me. But maybe you have some ideas I could try out.
The second one is to desactivate the sound amplifier, but I don’t have any idea how this could work - do you? Maybe rooting the phone could be an option. I do not even know if there in fact is a sound amplifier by Android, but for me that is the only logical thing.
But of course there may also be better, different ideas. I am no expert and this is just what appears logical to me.
I’d be really happy if you could help me, I’ve always been a fan of FP and don’t want to buy a new smartphone😢

Referring to your other recent question about screws and putting a FP3 back together, I would begin by making sure the phone’s components are properly assembled and secured, with all internal contacts working properly. See here for more info.

I think a good start would be to clean all internal contacts with 90° surgical alcohol or isopropanol and some cotton buds. Leave to dry for three hours before reassembling the phone.

Did you manage to find spare screws? A high-quality electronics hardware store might be of help.
The phone’s components must be properly installed before looking anywhere else for a solution.
