Fp3 doesn't charge - getting hot, melting plastic of usb-cable

fp3 trying to charge with well experienced cable and the same usb loader as for more than a year. The loading stopped at 68 % and the charging port got so hot, that the plastic of my usb-cable did melt. Changed cable - no charging. Changed usb loader, too - no charging. Tried to let my akku be loaded in a friends’ fp3 - it don’t load anymore.

Best do a battery spin test quickly as if it’s slightly deformed it could be an imminent fire hazard.

FP3+ doesn't switch on

Just to ve sure You are not switching the phone on the read the battery You are waiting a long time, maybe 6 hours or overnight Have you checked the battery via the spin test as another thought? Akku is not deformed. I’ve also tried to load a friends akku with my fp3 - usb port got very hot, no loading.

A hot USB port and melting is no good. Don’t plug in the device to avoid further damage and make a backup while the battery still holds some charge. Contact our Support team through the proper channel and they’ll help you arrange a repair or replacement.
