I’m trying to update an FP2 from FPOS 19.11.2 to current FPOS.
I installed TWRP beforehand to create a backup. Unfortuantely that leaves me in a situation where I don’t know how to proceed in updating.
The Updater App suggests FPOS 21.12.0-rel1 (which I suppose makes sense in the recommended gradual upgrade path) and downloads it to a location unknown to me. It then restarts into recovery for the actual update and TWRP does not know how to handle it.
I would like to do one of the following (each of which I couldn’t find the necessary files to), in this preferred order:
- Locate the image for FPOS 21.12.0-rel1 downloaded by the app (it’s not in /cache as mentioned in earlier Forum posts) and install via TWRP
- Replace TWRP with the stock recovery (can I download it somewhere?) and let the Updater App do it’s thing.
- Download the image for FPOS 21.12.0-rel1 manually from the web and install via TWRP
- Anything else that let’s me follow the suggested upgrade path without loosing the data and config on the phone.
