FP2 is an unknown device via USB to Windows?

The release notes for FPOS 21.03.0 dated April 19th, 2021 say this:

Fix fastboot mode (and manual images) broken with recent versions of fastboot

Now it would be interesting to know if the previously released version has an issue that leads to an “unknown device” when trying to fastboot…

I switched the bottom modules from my FP2 (where USB connection works fine) to the FP2 of my friends: well, as expected, Win7 shows the same message when connecting via USB. As I am a little tired of this, I give up.
