If you are intersted to ask Fairphone company to refurbish the FP2 bottom module, I have created a petition on this issue : Petition · Fairphone 2 FP2 bottom module refurbishment · Change.org
Did you notice that Fairphone seems to have recently made available refurbished FP2 bottom modules, however at the price of – apparently – 60 Euros?
I wonder how you expect this to work.
a) Fairphone efforts to colkect old modules
b) users gather and send them in bulk
and there are already
a) options to repair DIY or via a shop and
b) Leo’s apparently ongoing manufacturing of modules updated with usb c ports
Thank you very much for your answer urs_lesse. It can partially solve my problem (even if I would have prefered to replace myself the bottom module).
I will try it. Thank you
Dear Amoun, thank you for your answer, I agree with your 2 suggestions :
Fairphone efforts to collect old modules or users gather and send them maybe organized by fairphone.
For your other suggestions :
-options to repair DIY or via a shop : can you give me the link please
- Leo’s apparently ongoing manufacturing of modules updated with usb c ports / I am not sur to understand, I think my english is not developped enough
Thank you for your answer.
You can search the forum for ‘bottom repair’ should give you a heads up
Good luck, and please let us know how it works (actual costs + and how the steps of the procedure worked), ideally in Alex’ topic.
