Recently, when I use the files app it doesn’t respond to anything and it used to work perfectly fine just a few weeks ago but now it’s broken and I have tried repeatedly touching it and plugging in a mouse into my phone but nothing works and it happens even if it launched through the HP Smart app document picker, when choosing where to export contacts to and if just launched normally. I use Android 13. Please can I have some help.
The usual first thing to try with an app that’s misbehaving, is to delete the cache.
Go to
Settings > Apps > See all n apps > Files Storage and cache > Delete cache
Otherwise, while waiting for a solution, you might try “File Manager” from fossify.org (available using the F-Droid store).
Have you reported the problem to Fairphone Support?
