File transfer to PC via cable not working. Is it Android 14 or CalyxOS

Hi,
I updated my FP5 from Android 13 to CalyxOS with Android 14. So far most things seem to work fine, but I noticed transfering data from/to my PC using a cable does not work anymore and now I don’t know if I need to further investigate with CalyxOS or if it is a problem with Anrdoid 14. Does anyone have any experience with this? And/Or can tell me if it works with their FP5 on any Android 14 OS.
My setup: FP5 with newest CalyxOS and a Linux computer (Ubuntu). The transfer worked fine while on stock FP Android 13. After the update my computer will show the pop up when connecting the phone but just shows an empty folder without an error message. On the phone I choose “File transfer” for the USB option. Also chose that as the default in developer options. USB Debugging is turned on. I have of course rebooted the phone

Works without issues with FPOS Android 14 and Windows for me

FP5 (iodeOS|A14) + DesktopPC (Arch Linux) here and it works fine.

Since the MTP connection seems to be established but only Android/CalyxOS doesn’t seem to share any folder, I am pretty sure this must be a CalyxOS-related issue. CalyxOS is a very secured OS, maybe there is some sort of protection enabled, if not it might be a bug of COS.

With FP4+CalyxOS (5.11.1) file transfer over USB works with Win11 and Fedora.
I have USB debugging disabled and the default option is only charging. Can not test it with FP5 unfortunately. Can you see the device in the terminal with ADB?

Just installed ADB and yes I can see the device and read from and write to the file system.

A little update for anyone interested: It worked fine on a windows computer I tried it on and also on my work computer that has a newer ubuntu version. So it doesn’t seem to be a general problem
I’ll try again at home with a different cable / USB port or wait till I update the computer.
Thanks for everyone who took their time to respond!
