My Fairphone3+ suddenly switched off. When I try to charge it does not. The led flashes red and the phone gets hot on the bottom left part looking at the phone from the back
I am not sure about changing the bottom module or the battery, because these are not the parts getting hot.
Any suggestion?
Thanks

It could be a faulty battery.
Have a look if your battery is swollen. If so, immediately stop using the battery. A short circuit may occur.
Perhaps you are lucky and is there a Fairphone Angel in your neighbourhood who has spare parts for a Fairphone 3.

The bottom left (looking at the back of the phone) would be where the speaker module is. I would usually not expect this to ever overheat, but the FP3 normally works with the speaker module removed – so you can easily try if there is any difference in behaviour if you remove the speaker module:
(Normally, the FP3 also works with the top module and/or the camera module and/or the bottom module removed.)
