You never know…although I think its max assembled in Europe not produced.
To obtain the Made in France label, simply follow this procedure :
Involvement of two or more countries in the manufacture of the product
A product partially manufactured in France can display the “Made in France” label if it has undergone its last substantial transformation in France. This term designates a transformation that results in a new product or corresponds to an important stage in the manufacturing process.
Exemple :
A jam is made in France from strawberries from Turkey and sugar from Morocco. To determine the origin of the jam, we need to identify the materials that do not originate in the country where the final processing takes place (in this case, France): Morocco and Turkey. To these materials not originating in France, we need to apply the rule of origin corresponding to jams. If the rule is respected, jam made in France from third-party materials will be labelled “Fabriqué en France”.
So, idk for EU, but maybe there is something similar ?
Here maybe the beginning of an answer :
Netherlands : Final assembly in the Netherlands but components can be purchased abroad. A good balance between European craftsmanship and affordability.
Spoiler alert (a few hours before the official announcement)

Whoooo 599€ in France…
guess we now know the release date … today, available now.
Whoop! Any idea if there’s going to be a Q&A or AMA?
And what’s the deal with it being designed in Stockholm now?
Cheers ![]()
should we change the name of the topic or create a new one? ![]()
i don’t get it. Is it 156 or 162 mm tall?
Dimension with and without the buttons/camera i think.
Just change it no need for a new one.
but i would expect those to impact the depth and the width, not the height. there are no buttons on top of or underneath the phone ; plus it’s not like 4mm difference
Lucky to be in Switzerland, it is cheaper than in France ![]()
To be honest, I have no idea ![]()
According to specs on website, no “real” water resistance, “only” IP55.
Hmm, does anyone know why all those extra screws were added? It already passed the military drop test.
I guess for a higher rating they have to use (more) rubber seal as Shift did…
