When I connect my Fairphone 6 to my android auto it will just start and works.
But everytime when i use Google Assistant or try to open de app menu it just crashes. My phone looks like it resets or something because i see the fairphone logo animation and i need to log in again.

I have a fix that worked for me:
Deactivate the setting “force desktop mode” within the developer mode.
I set it on for a remote dekstop test but somehow it ruins the android auto mode.
As the FP6 only has USB2.0 there is no desktop mode even if there is a setting hidden im developer options.
oke thanks, it did however fix the bug

Thank you so much. I had “Use desktop mode on secondary displays” set so I have switched it off now. I’d forgotten I’d turned it on.
In my case Android auto sort of worked until I pressed the icon to get the list of apps. At that point the phone appeared to restart itself.
