Fairphone 6 turns off randomly from time to time

When I charge my Fairphone on a 3 A charger, then it doesn’t get hot but warm. But mostly I don’t use my phone while charging. So if you use your phone and the screen is on and you charge it fast, then it might get hot because the screen also adds to the raise of the temperature.

I have the same issue. Today it turned off two times in my pocket. I had this issue since I bought the fairphone 6 in june 2025.

Again. My Fairphone 6 was lying on my desk for an hour or so without using. When I tried to use it, it was off. Turned it on manually. :frowning:

Interesting: I have my clock set to manual (for reasons). Every time this happens, the clock is far far far in the past. Next time I should check if it is always the same time in the past (probably). I hope I won’t forget to check that in roughly a month (expected next shutdown).

As indicated earlier by Meaghan it’s important to contact FP Support about this if you haven’t already. Next time it happens check the clock but I suggest you also take a bug report which will save waiting for a month if they ask for one!

I’m experiencing the same issue with the same model

Hi everyone,

I’m experiencing the same issue that’s been discussed here. My device keeps rebooting spontaneously, and it seems to be linked to the Wi‑Fi connection. When I turn Wi‑Fi off, the random reboots stop. After switching the device to my 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi band, the problem appears to be resolved.

Has anyone else noticed a correlation between the Wi‑Fi driver crashes and the Wi‑Fi band being used? Any insights or additional troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi everyone, yesterday I got myself a used FP6, since then two times spontaneously powered off, never experienced with my other FP6.

I’m wondering, do you have new insights on that, is it a HW issue? Is there a resolution yet? I’m running Android 16. Thanks a lot- Martin.
