Fairphone 6 screen draining battery fast?

Hello everyone. I received my fairphone 6 a few days ago and it’s been great. However I think that there might be an issue with the amount of power the screen drain. As you can see in the screenshot, 1h30 of screen time used up 60% of the batteur total. I know that the fairphone has a smaller battery than some others phone, but this seems a lot.

Would any of you have a trick to reduce that drain?

That’s also a lot of CPU. You may find that rebooting the phone will calm things down.

I’ve already experienced one occasion when the phone got quite hot with prolonged, but “normal” use such as browsing. That’s rare though, it’s only happened once in a couple of months.

So try rebooting your phone and come back to tell us if that helped.

P.S. - The percentages you see are not (I think) percentages of total battery capacity. They are percentages of total power consumption since last full charge. So “60%” means 60% of the power that’s been used, not 60% of the battery’s full charge.

One thing I missed was the “system apps” line at the bottom of the battery usage list, which was at 25%.

I rebooted the phone and it does seem to have helped, the system apps usage is much lower.

Thank you for your answer!

It’s normal when first using a phone the battery use is higher.
The same is possible after an update. You will find that after some use of the phone the battery will perform better.
