Hi, recently i ran into issues using fairphone 6 with murena os. Apps functionality is fine but in app purchases always fail regardless of the app compatibility options, all settings are on in app compatibility/play store services. Even when i purchase the app on my old google device , redeeming the purchases on the fairphone 6 fails. Advanced privacy settings are all off for testing purposes with gplay apps. Thanks
In-App purchases still seem to be a problem without the genuine Google Play Services.
According to Is in-app purchases possible on FP5 with e/OS? - Fairphone - /e/OS community there’s work being done on this in microG, but your issue would suggest it’s not finished yet.
(Apart from the fact that this could break again at any given time anyway, as is the nature of any microG functionality.)
If you rely on in-App purchases working, I guess /e/OS would be the wrong choice of OS currently.
I can suggest you to have a look at “AXP OS”,
the “PRO” flavor version include “phonesky” (patched to work with microG) where you can purchase apps from the gogol store.

If you want to use this Play Store version on any other OS than AXP.OS you are in general free to use the signed or unsigned variant - while it is strongly recommended using the signed one.
The process is slightly different then though, please follow the README for the how-to.
In general that should work fine while it is not tested nor supported by AXP.OS.
Buying Apps from the Play Store via a store UI should be possible in /e/OS using your Google account with App Lounge or Aurora Store.
The problem is in-App purchases, where an App invokes Play Store mechanisms in the background, which have to be supported by microG to work.
Thank you for all the replays. This was my experience as well, generally most apps work but in app purchases do not. Also interesting though about other os alternatives.
