Fairphone 6+ compatibility with /e/os?

Hi there! I’ve been browsing through the forum and I can’t seem to find an answer, forgive me if it’s there and I’ve just missed it.
I recently (yesterday) received my fp6+. I’ve been absolutely adoring it. I, however purchased the android 16 version. Which is fine, but I wanted to poke around with /e/os. I saw on the website that the fp6 is compatible, but I don’t want to break anything by installing it on the 6+. Does anyone have any advice on this? Or is the phone simply too new?

Thanks in advance for the help!

More info can be found on the /e/OS documentation and download website and /e/OS community forums

FP6+ is supported.

If you are afraid to break your phone installing /e/os on your FP6, you can simply send it back (It Is for free for two weeks) and buy a new one on murena website with /e/ os natively installed.

You can buy it from Fairphone too:

@Nanapuddin421, here is what you need :
both FP6 and FP6+ use the same software…
A safe guide to install /e/OS on your Fairphone

Murena still need to update their documentation and download pages to put the FP6+ everywhere …

… but at least the current /e/OS version 4.2 for FP6 is compatible with the FP6+ …

Currently the warranties differ beween sales from Fairphone and Murena in case users install a different OS, though, Fairphone is more lenient right now. Interested users should keep an eye on this here …

I bought mine (normal 6) with /e/OS from Fairphone, I will never switch to Google Android.
If I come at a point that I can’t keep using /e/OS (or another NON Google Android) I will sell it and look for an alternative like Jolla or something.

You all rock!! Thank you so much. I’ll probably be following the steps tonight and I’ll update you when I’m done :))
