Fairphone 5 charging, corrosion or short?

2 days ago my FP5 fell into the sink while being on, it stayed on. I disassembled it to let it dry out overnight, Next day i reassembled it, I plugged in the charger but the phone didnt show itself charging, I thought i somehow forgot to connect the port, but that wasnt the case, so i figured it was just somehow not plugged in correctly into the board. After reassembling it, I plugged it in and it did charge. It worked and charged for hours. But when i wanted to charge it again in the evening it didnt work again. Cable plugged in, just doesnt show charging.

Its fully possible I missed some water in the port and some contacts are corroded, there is a small chance when i plug it in that charges for a short time, but only several seconds. I didnt see any water on the top mainboard, but I may have missed some and it somehow messed up the charging controller? Or did it maybe short something when it fell in the water?

Maybe I didnt plug in any connector correctly but i dont think thats the case unless its the one next to the display cable on the bottom of the mb which i didnt check.

Should I order a new port or is this a lost cause?

Many thanks
