Fairphone 4 stuck in boot loop - SOLUTION

Hi all, so I already found the solution to my problem but I thought I document it so someone with the same issue might find help.

Yesterday my FP4 started getting stuck in a weird boot loop out of nowhere. It started up right until the lock screen where it stayed as long as I didn’t unlock it. When I did, I had maybe a few seconds until the phone crashed and did a (very quick) restart, crashed again etc etc.

The solution: I discovered that my SD card was not inserted correctly. As soon as I took it out and put it back in properly everything went back to normal! (Well except that for some reason my search engine changed back to google and my colour settings reverted to blue. Let’s see if some other funky business is going on)

I hope this can help someone!

I had to purchase a third party FP4 battery recently (I can’t get the legitimate original FP4 battery in Australia) which was working OK or so I thought.

Last weekend my FP4 went into a boot loop after I changed one setting re: displaying the Google search bar. As soon as I deselected it my FP4 continuously rebooted and nothing I could do could resolve it including reinstalling the operating system several times. What did fix it was putting back in my old FP4 original battery then it booted up properly and has ever since. Unfortunately that means I only get half a day before I have to recharge my phone.

Has anyone else had the same boot loop issue related to a replacement battery?
