Hi. Since the Android 15 update, the apps on the home screen are taking 5-7 seconds to appear, and when I leave or close an app I often have to wait for the icons to load, rather than them being there already.

Cleared app cache for GBoard, instant relief!

Same for me. I had action launcher. With nova launcher it got a bit better.

I use Nova, too. But the lag disappeared only when I had cleaned the GBoard cache EDIT: Today I had to use GBoard instead of the keyboard I use normally. After that the lag was back and disappeared only after cleaning the GBoard cache again.

Still got the issue. Clearing the Gboard cache seems to help a bit, sometimes, but not much.

It definitely helps. However GBoard is not only used as keyboard (which I disabled) but also for the spell checking. So far I have not found any decent replacement for this, in order to be able to disable GBoard completely. As it is still running you need to clear the cache every now and then.
