Fairphone 4 fell into the sea

the phone fell into the sea (even if inside a bag), but in not deep water. I washed the phone (battery, SIM, back cap, and phone) with freshwater and then I left it to dry during about 24 hours. Unfortunately, the battery swelled up in the back and, of course, the phone does not works. Some suggestion to find a solution, please?

Have a look at the waterwiki
Anyway you shouldn’t use the swollen battery anymore for security reasons.
You might check if there’s a fairphoneangel near you. So you might check the phones functionality before ordering a new battery.

The salt water will probably screw it up pretty much completely :frowning: think “electrolysis”, and now consider that that’s happening everywhere that seawater touched, whenever current is flowing. The actual silicon is probably OK, but everything else, including things like the bond wires inside the packaging, have likely had it.
