I’ve had the same problem with my FP3+ these past couple of weeks, the battery drained super quickly, the phone was warm even on standby, everything worked worse, or slower, with regular “doesn’t respond” pop up messages.
In the battery usage, I saw “Google Play services” as being used all the time, even though it said it used like 1% of the battery (none of the apps had a big number).
I did the hard reboot @King-brioche suggested: held the power button for 10 seconds until the phone reboots. It immediately worked faster, but the battery usage didn’t get better.
After that, I went to settings, apps, found Google Play services, deleted all its data, and I tried to limit everything I could, I deactivated background data and unlimited use of data.
It’s been a couple of days, my phone doesn’t overheat anymore, and the battery lasts as long as it did before. I don’t know if it will last but for now it’s great!
