My fairphone 2 does’nt start anymore. From what I see in the forum I probably need a new bottom module to fix the problem…
The thing is : there is no way to buy such a module anymore, and there are some photos I really really would like to get back that are currently … trapped on the phone.
Is there a way I could get back my photos even though i can’t turn on the phone anymore ?

I saw an email address for a fairphone community in my town in this link https://ff2u.github.io/, but in the link you gave me I see no fairphone angel in my town… I’ll try send the fairphone community an email anyway we never know what could occur.

Do you have a backup on google (other Cloud) or SD card? Or the 3, 2, 1 rule. Three copies of your data, two devices, at least one off site. I know there a some times where this stuff happens. Like video editing or you just took a bunch of pictures for example. This has happened a couple of times to me before. I’m hoping for at least a backup somewhere where you can still retrieve your data. Hope this is helpful in your recovery.

If charging is the problem, you could try to charge the battery with a universal smartphone battery charger.
For instance, a lot of sellers on eBay still sell a cheapo charger which works for the Fairphone 2 battery, looks like this (just look for it on your region’s eBay or similar platform) …

You can have a perfectly working FP2 - but without battery - from me, so you can take out the bottom module which you need. I am living in the countryside 60 km away from both Hamburg and Hannover, so most probably I would have to send it to you. I would appreciate a refund of the dispatching costs. And I am really happy to help somebody still using the FP2 - which I am also doing. It is just that I have two of them because somebody gave his back to me. Send me a PM.

I don’t need my fairphone anymore, since it doesn’t start anymore I had to replace it.
So I just need to get back my data and then I could send you back the bottom module, and if the battery that I have is still working, I could send it back to you too.
