I’ve been using fairbuds for 6 months now. This is issue was from the beginning but I thought there’s nothing to do about it.
Basically, sometimes they turn themselves off out of nowhere and abruptly, and make a very disturbing scratching sound when they turn off. Since they are literally on my ears, this sound hurts.
Is there anything to do about this? It is very very annoying.
That sounds unpleasant indeed!
Just to confirm: You mean the small Fairbuds, not the bigger Fairbuds XL headphones? So far I’m only aware of such problems with the XL - usually related to noise cancellation. Does this happen in all modes?
In any case: This does not sound normal, I suggest to contactsupport
Unfortunately for me it’s totally normal since one year (support needed 5! months for first answer). And even more unfortunately: the support is not able to fix the problem till today. I sent the Fairbuds for “repair” twice (they just exchanged first the left then the right Fairbud) and they always returned with the same problem. The snapping was so loud it seemed to have destroyed the Fairbuds: they turned almost silent after some time that I was only able to listen in my silent flat.
Now I got new Fairbuds and surprise! The story goes on just the same: scratch! I use two Fairphone 3 (work and private) and the problem appears on both.
I would be very glad if someone could help me. Support blocks refund or replacement with Fairbud XL till now. Maybe they will do something the service is talking with an other department about my case…
