Anyone has experiences with using SD cards > 256 GB like energy consumption, encryption, format, performance etc.?

@urs_lesse used/uses one, and according to him in this thread, it at least works. Nothing about the other things you mentioned, though - I think you’d likely be the second FP2 user, after Urs, to get a 400GB SD card.

Not quite, as he [sorry → @nofo] seem to own a FP3 
Only my FP1U is my private property. I’m permanently holding an FP2 (donation) for the Fairphone Community Aachen and just temporarily an FP3 (borrowed).
