Eos fp4 app lounge problems

I have a Murena fp4 (/e/os/) which I have been double running alongside my old fp4 on straight Android for a few weeks…

…all pretty good until today on Apl Lounge I get Common apps unavailable…an error occurred while loading Common apps. Only Open Source apps and PWA are available for now.

(Just like one used to have to do back in the early PC days, I have taken to restarting the phone when errors occurs!) I have restarted the phone several times but get that same message.

I was going to move my main SIM across to the eos phone today, but I won’t now, and will go back to the old Android ohibe to do what I wanted to do…

…but what will get App Lounge up and running again? Or what is the work around?

Welcome to the Community forum.

The standard workaround when there are such issues with the App Lounge is the Aurora store. Similarly like the App Lounge, Aurora allows retrieving Google Play Store apps. It does not include F-Droid apps though, as far as I know.
