Hi, I would like to try /e/OS on my FP2 with Fairphone OS 21.10.0-rel.2. I’ve read that since Fairphone OS 19.11.2 there is AOSP recovery used instead of TWRP. Is it ok and safe to install TWRP for OS switching as described here: Fairphone 2? Thanks for help.

Yes, that’s the right description. However, if your FP2 is not rooted (it is only rooted if you know that you rooted it yourself, but not by default), make sure to use the Fastboot Install Method described a bit further down the page.

I’d recommend to just follow the installation documentation at
https://doc.e.foundation/devices/FP2/install
If you don’t want to install TWRP (although I think there’s no disadvantage in installing it) you can also just boot it to do the /e/OS installation (following documentation #twrpwoflashing ).
