Depends on the hearing aids, I would say. Which ones do you have in mind, or which technology has to be present and working on the phone for them?

Hi, I use Phonak hearing Aids. They are supported via the Phonak App which works fine on e-OS. (previously used on a standard Android system).
I guess it depends on which hearing aids you have and if they have a supporting App.

And if such an App has any built-in Google dependencies (most Apps in existence do) which could fail at any time for any amount of time on /e/OS.

Hi – thanks for the responses.
I have UK NHS Danalogic hearing aids, with the BeMore App. Used to work fine on my Pixel 4, but no such luck in FP6 e/OS…
As I understand it, Danalogic uses the Bluetooth Low Energy tech with is the industry standard now, and the ‘LE’ element might be the problem(?) I have no problem connecting to my Bose speaker.
But I do, connecting to our car, a Skoda, so it does rather look like a Google OS would suit me better.

FP6 does not ring

hi there I’m on e/OS and my FP6 still doesn’t ring, when my hearing aid is connected; the system update says I have the newest update 3.1.4-a15 etc. official-FP6 After 2.5 months, I gave up and will sell my fairphone 6 to the highest bidder; I bought a used Volla Quintus from Germany; I will report here how that went in quest of self-souvereignity and freedom from all evil. It would be interesting though to know, if you plan to fix the not-ringing-phone-with-hearing-aid-bug in order for me to…

Probleme mit Wiedergabe am Hörgerät

Hallo an alle, Ich habe seit einem Monat ein fairphone 6 mit e/os murena. Das einzige was leider nicht funktioniert, ist die akustische Wiedergabe im Hörgerät. Ich habe das Hörgerät mehrmals versucht über bluetooth neu zu koppeln. Das Hörgerät scheint auch sauber als gekoppeltes Gerät auf. In der Telefon APP kann ich es auch als Ausgabe gerät auswählen (es ist gelistet neben “Lautsprecher”, “Telefon”, als “mein Hörgerät”). Wenn ich mein Hörgerät auswähle, höre ich aber NUR über das Telefon oder …

I have an open ticket in the support forum (https://support.fairphone.com). The latest answer is

Murena has informed us that a permanent fix has already been developed and is expected to be included in an upcoming system update (v3.8/v4.0). In the meantime, they suggest trying a temporary workaround that has helped other users resolve similar audio routing issues.

Could you please try the following steps:

• Go to Settings > Network & internet > Mobile network and select your active SIM.

• Disable VoLTE (4G Calling / Enhanced LTE).

• Disable Wi-Fi Calling.

• Unpair your hearing aids, restart your device, and then pair them again.

The workaround, for me did not help, but I wait for the /s/os update

Auch ich habe diesen Workaround ausprobiert, und wie bei den anderen hat es nicht funktioniert.
Da wir momentan bei der Vers. 3.7.1 sind, wäre meine Frage danach, über welchen Zeitrahmen wir bis zu der avisierten Lösung in der Vers. 4.0 sprechen.
Ich liebe zwar mein FP6, aber noch mehr würde ich es lieben ein Telefonat ohne ständiges Nachfragen führen zu lönnen.
