Double chop for torch gone!

Until very recently, my Fairphone 4’s torch/flashlight could be activated with a ‘double chop’, now it’s gone and has to be activated laboriously by double dragging it down from the top of the screen - a backward step!
Or have I screwed-up?!
Advise please :crossed_fingers::pray:

Sorry, don’t know how it worked with a ‘double chop’.
But at least instead of “laboriously double dragging it down from the top of the screen” you might rearrange the torch tile to the top of the tiles (drag down twice and use the pencil to rearrange) so that you just have to drag down once and tap the torch.

Another thing I miss having moved to Fairphone from Motorola. The double chop was a really useful function when the lights go out.

Well, it is a thing, and it’s started working again using the double chop…
Tech, eh…?
Thx again.

Maybe you did a reboot and this fixed it? :thinking:

This surprised me. Like danensis, I miss this from my previous Motorola phones, so if the FP4 does have it, I wonder why i never found any settings related to it.

Still wondering what double chop is? Double chop what? Maybe the setting was somehow transferred by using the old phones backup, and for sure that would be rather prone to causing issues I guess.

Could well be.
Thx again.

Double chop - hold the phone with one side downwards, and pretend you are chopping an onion.

The other useful function on the Moto was turning the camera on with a wrist twist.

Incidentally I haven’t found any torch function on my FP5 - is there one?
