So i just found out i cannot use two simultaneous esim with this device, which i expected to work, because other phones can do it.
On the shop site i see that SIM+eSIM is their kind of dual sim. Will this work simultaneously, or do i also have to switch the sim like with two eSIM? Because in that case the phone would be useless to me, since i rely on having two sims active at once.
If you really want to use two eSIMs simultaneously, you’d have to get one of those retrofit SIM-eSIM adapters. But it might not have the same kind of comfort as true dual-eSIM. eSIM.me claims to be compatible with FP3 and 4, but says nothing about 5 and 6, though.
One esim, one physical SIM is still somewhat of a de facto standard for many mid-range Android devices (it’s a small savings on internal components). Before making the purchase decision you should look at the configuration which will state which combination can be used. However, one physical, one esim will work just fine once installed and of course both can be turned on and off independently as needed.
