In short, the FP3 entered a loop that displayed a warning that emergency calls can only be done over a mobile network a couple of times, then reset. After doing this a few times, the bootblock offered to continue this or do a factory reset. I could not turn Wifi Calling off, so I had to bite the bullet.
I would like to ask if anybody had the same problem after enabling Wifi Calling. Some specifics which could be relevant:
I have a FP3, what’s your model?
My provider is Vodafone. Any other provider with the same problem?
I’m in Germany, where are you?
Vodafone is in the provider list for the FP3 in the VoLTE & VoWi-Fi page. But Vodafone Deutschland is not, Which does not mean a lot, Deutsche Telekom is absent as well.
At the end you can only compare with Vodafone DE, other countries and/or provider wont help you, i.e. in my eyes the question is: can anyone in the Germane VF network use wifi calling without issues or bootoops. I never had issues with O2 Germany and FP3
I don’t think so. If this happens with other providers or in other countries, it’s more than a fluke. No “oh, this only happens in one country with only one provider for only one guy”. Other FP models are interesting for the same reason.
Mind you, I may be that one guy in one country with only one provider. I’d rather not be.
Hi, I’m from germany, have a FP3 with Android 14 (iodeOS) and recently switched from Vodafone- to 1&1-network. I always had VoLTE & VoWi-Fi enabled and never had any issues with it ever.
