The display of my Fairphone 4 has stopped working since it came in touch with a small amount of water in a leaky water bag some time ago. After drying and reinserting the battery, the display worked once or twice for a few seconds. Later, only the start text ‘Change is in your hands’ appeared. In the meantime, the screen remains completely black. I unscrewed the device and dried it for days. However, this did not result in any change. The device is 2 ½ years old. Is there anything that can be done? In your opinion, is it still worth a chargeable repair by Fairphone? Or is it better to dispose of the device straight away?
