This answer is interesting ! I also would like to use contactless payment with Pay Lib for the “Crédit Mutuel” in France, but it doesn’t work. The app tells me that I’m not eligible to contactless payment, when it used to work with an iPhone. Pay Lib tells me FP3 are not part of the compatible devices to use that kind of payment. Apart from activating NFC, is there something else to do to your knowledge?

I use the contactless payment app that is supplied by my Dutch bank (ASN bank). When I installed the app it told me that the Fairphone has not been tested, but it works without issues. Once in a while (once a month at most) it will not work but that may well be caused by the terminal.
My bank changed grom Maestro to V-pay a while ago, but apart from the logo I see no difference. For the odd occasion it does not work I always carry my card with me
